BCLL is proud to have memorable line-up of people and organizations to help start our anniversary season, including Congressman Randy Forbes, Suffolk Major Linda T. Johnson, Skydive Suffolk, Inc., and the Nansemond River High School Band.

Here’s our 40^th Anniversary Opening Day Ceremony Agenda for March 29^th, 2008:

• 08:00 AM:  The Nansemond River High School Band and Teams assemble for parade on Field #1 (Minor League Field). Raffle tickets must be in the barrel before the parade starts!
• 08:30 AM:  Welcoming remarks and parade kickoff
• 08:35 AM:  The Nansemond River High School Band and Teams commence parade. Team will be introduced as they enter.
• 08:55 AM:  Invocation by Ron Neal
• 09:00 AM:  National Anthem by Tanya Halmrast. Honor Guard files out
• 09:05 AM:  Introduction of League President and Presidential Address
• 09:15 AM:  Recitation of the Little League Pledge
• 09:20 AM:  Introduction of Congressman Randy Forbes and Congressman's Address
• 09:30 AM:  Introduction of Mr. Thomas Hazelwood of Bennett's Creek Trust
• 09:35 AM:  Introduction of Mayor and Mayoral Address by Linda T. Johnson
• 09:40 AM:  Recognition of the 2007 All-Star Teams
• 09:45 AM:  Raffle Ticket Draw and winner announcement
• 09:50 AM:  Arrival of parachutist from Skydive Suffolk, Inc. with BCLL banner and balls for first pitches
• 10:00 AM:  First pitches by Congressman Forbes (for Baseball) and Mayor Linda T. Johnson (for Softball)
• 10:05 AM:  PLAY BALL!! - First Games Start at Driver
